Machine wash cold before first wear and after each use with your other clothes — skip the bleach, ironing, and dry cleaning! Hang up your Thinx, and let 'em dry completely before putting them away.

How much fluid do Thinx absorb?

Our leak-absorbing underwear holds up to 100 mL (holds up to 6 tablespoons, 16.5 pantyliners, or 5.5 regular pads worth) for protection from light bladder leaks.
How long will period-absorbing underwear help prevent leaks?

Yup! Our newest period underwear styles feature our all-day, leakproof absorbency for protection for up to 12 hours. They hold up to 12 regular tampons' worth of flow — no other period products are required.

If you prefer, though, you can wear them as backup protection with tampons or menstrual cups.

Which part of the underwear is absorbent?

The positioning of the absorbent gusset varies slightly by style but is positioned mainly towards the back.
